This Privacy Policy is incorporated into, and is subject to, the Active Health Terms of Use and Cookie Policy, which can be accessed on the bottom of every webpage incorporated into the Active Health service.

The services available under Active Health are, depending on the service, provided alone or jointly by us, AXA ICAS Limited, AXA ICAS Occupational Health Services Limited, Human API, Expert24 or service providers invited onto Active Health to provide health benefits.

These companies will, as necessary, share that information to provide you with an assessment of your health age, to help you make plans to address areas of concern in your lifestyle, to recommend solutions that they have to address key lifestyle issues and evidence on the efficacy of services. When you provide information on Active Health you give your consent to this.

The information below tells you, in mostly broad terms, how we use personal information that we collect from your use of Active Health.

What information do we collect, and how?

Active Health service pools and consolidates your everyday health and fitness data from personal health tracking devices, software applications and data inputted manually to empower and inspire users to lead healthier and more active lives.

The personal information AXA PPP healthcare collects through Active Health service may include details such as your name, e-mail address, postal address, telephone number, date of birth and health information.

Personal information may be collected:

  • through registration;
  • when you use any of our products or services;
  • when you fill out a survey, or vote in a poll on Active Health;
  • through applications;and
  • through the  health age calculator, health assessment tools, integrated mobile apps, personal trackers or other personal health or wellness data sources;and through feedback forms.

We also collect information that could identify your computer to us (your IP address) and/or that tells us about how you use our websites. See the section ‘Cookies’section below.

When personal health trackers or other personal health or wellness data sources are linked to your Active Health account this is done through Human API. By doing this you are agreeing to the Human API terms which are located here https://www.humanapi.co/privacy in addition to this Privacy Policy.

What will the information be used for?

THE AXA UK GROUP OF COMPANIES WILL NEVER USE YOUR ACTIVE HEALTH DATA TO ADVERSELY IMPACT YOUR CURRENT OR FUTURE INDIVIDUAL INSURANCE UNDERWRITING, PREMIUM OR COVER ELIGIBILITY.

WE MAY USE YOUR INDIVIDUAL DATA FOR RECOMMENDING RELEVANT HEALTH SOLUTIONS, FOR ANALYTICAL PURPOSES AND TO ASSIST US IN IMPROVING OUR PROCESSES, PRODUCTS AND SERVICES. WE MAY ALSO USE YOUR INDIVIDUAL DATA FOR MARKETING PURPOSES INCLUDING TARGETED COMMUNICATIONS, OFFERS AND REWARDS.

WE MAY SHARE DATA COLLECTED FOR MARKETING PURPOSES WITH OTHER AXA UK GROUP OF COMPANIES – SEE THE SECTION ‘MARKETING’BELOW.

YOUR DATA WILL NEVER BE GIVEN TO ANY THIRD PARTY OUTSIDE THE AXA UK GROUP OF COMPANIES FOR MARKETING.

We use other companies to help us provide services to you and to store your information. Many of these are AXA Group companies based outside the European Economic Area (EEA) where the laws protecting personal information are not as strong as in the EEA. However, we take steps to make sure that companies working for us provide an appropriate level of protection.  AXA operate a secure European Data Centre in Switzerland where the laws protecting personal information meet EEA requirements.

Email communications can be opted out of at any time via an unsubscribe link within each email.

Accessing or correcting your personal information
